al-Zarqawi Suspected in Suicide Bombings at Jordan Hotels
At least 57 were killed and 100 injured in three nearly simultaneous hotel bombings tonight in Amman, Jordan. The targets were a Grand Hyatt, a Radisson, and a Days Inn, all popular among westerners and wealthy Iraqis. The Radisson has been the target of previous failed terror attacks, including one timed with millennium celebrations.
Drudge notes the date is 11/9 (or 9/11 depending on your geolocation) for what it's worth.
From Yahoo! News:
The explosions hit the Grand Hyatt, Radisson SAS and Days Inn hotels just before 9 p.m.

Jordan's deputy prime minister, Marwan Muasher, said there was no claim of responsibility but that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian-born leader of al-Qaida in Iraq was a "prime suspect."A U.S. counterterrorism official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the strong suspicion is that al-Zarqawi was involved because of his known animosity for Jordanian monarchy and the fact that it was a suicide attack, one of his hallmarks.
