Nigerian Scourge Spreads to Zaire, South Africa

The cyberfraud favorite Nigerian Advanced Fee/4-1-9 Scam, which was recently honored with the 2005 Ig Nobel Prize for Literature, seems to be spreading across Africa.

Someone get the spamiflu...

The most recent victim to succumb to tragically killed parents and a princely sum of unrecoverable money is Mr. Eddie Mulato of Johannesburg.  Mr. Mulato was kind enough to write me this morning, with the following plea:

Permit me to inform you of my desire of going into business relationship with you. I am EDDIE MULATO, The first son of late Mr. and Mrs.DANTATA MULATO.My father was a very wealthy GOLD and COCOA merchant who based in ACCRA GHANA and ZAIRE respectively, He was poisoned to death by his business associates on one of their business outings.
...
Before the death of my father on the 29th November 2000 in a private hospital in ZAIRE, he privately called me on his bedside and told me that he had a sum of USD25,000,000.00 US DOLLARS (TWENTY FIVE MILLION US DOLLARS) kept in a private security company in Johannesburg, South Africa.
...
Am honorably seeking for your assistance in the following ways.

(1)To assist me to clear this fund from the security company and transfer it to your account successfully.
(2) To provide a bank account into which this money would be transferred to.
(3)To serve as the manager of this fund since l am a boy of (28)yrs.

Well gosh, Eddie, I'd love to help, but I'm just a boy of (29) yrs myself.  Still, 19% of $25 million = $4.75 million.  I could finally buy all those university diplomas and discount perscriptions I've had my eye on.
