OPEC Puffs Up In Vain
The greedy, market-manipulating cartel got snippy again today, upset with recent cascading oil prices, and initiated a new round of discussions to explore possible production cuts.
The futures markets were moderately impressed for a few hours, then quickly got over it, as the combination of continued warm weather in the northeast and predicted build-ups in domestic inventories seemed to outweigh OPEC's sabre rattling.
As a result, crude oil is once again driving dramatically lower.
