Vote Or Don't
The artist possibly currently known as P. Diddy was on Fox & Friends this morning, both to plug the bujeezus out of his new vodka and to advertise "Citizen Change". This youth voting empowerment organization (recently snatched from the precipice of defunctness and tax scrutiny) was the promoter of the "Vote Or Die" campaign in 2004, a nonsensically catchy little slogan that aimed to get 18-24-year-olds to the polls by having hip-hop and Hollywood stars, some of whom (including Paris Hilton and Ludacris) didn't even bother registering to vote themselves, tell them it was the right thing to do.
Asked on this morning's show about why he's once again out thumping this effort (which is officially non-partisan, but funded primarily by Clintonista Ron Burkle), Mr. Combs explained that he himself is a "disenfranchised" voter. Maybe that explains why Diddy doesn't vote much either - he's always getting intimidated away from the polling places (in his case, no less foreboding a place than the Wagner School on Manhattan's Upper East Side).
