Bill O'Reilly Shoves Obama Staffer?
Who knows. Who cares, frankly (other than Keith Olbermann's writing staff, of course).
Apparently, O'Reilly will address the situation on Fox News at 3 pm.
Reverands Jackson and Sharpton, fuel up your jets.
Update: According to O'Reilly, after leaving the Clinton campaign event (described here), he went to Obama's Nashua rally (described as a "big zoo"), where his cameraman's shot was blocked by a man "described by media reports as being about 6-foot-8." O'Reilly then "gently removed him from that position." He says there was no "scuffle", but acknowledges possibly calling him an "SOB". O'Reilly called reports that the Secret Service had to remove him "ridiculous" and noted that soon after "gently removing" the colossus, he had a pleasant conversation with Obama himself, which will appear on the Monday edition of the O'Reilly Factor.
"No one is going to block a shot on the O'Reilly Factor," he says. "It's just not going to happen."
(Apologies for any slight paraphrasals that might afflict the quotes.)
Update: Here's video (of the audio) of O'Reilly's account (HT: Allah).
The footage that will appear on Monday night's Factor apparently includes the dust-up itself. To hold you over, here's video of the staffer in question, Marvin Nicholson, making a peanut butter, jelly, and spittle sandwich for his previous employer, John Kerry.

This 6'8" Obama thug was intentionally blocking O'Reilly's shot and he got exactly what he deserved. Freedom of the press anyone? My question is, Why is Barack Obama so scared or Bill O'Reilly?Posted by: Falling Panda | Jan 8, 2008 12:02:17 AM
What is wrong with this man? Why does he lack self-respect and ethics. I think the TV station who airs his show that is making his head swell so big should cancel his show because he is bringing disgrace and negative publicity to both the Station and journalism. I will not be surprised if Al Sharpton soon calls for a boycott of his show and the Station too. I believe from his current and past shameful behaviors, he needs to check to the nearest insane asylum and get some electrical shock treatments to his brain or better still a lobotomy.Posted by: Maychic’s World’s Top Sexiest Women Network | Jan 9, 2008 1:54:36 AM
It's pretty clear to me that it's important to O'Reilly to be seen as a tough guy. I think he's bright enough to have calculated in real time that the flak he'd take would be limited by the enormity of the man he picked this little tiff with. (He essentially said as much on air, something akin to, "Can you imagine the heat I'd be taking if this had been a little guy?")Posted by: Flip | Jan 9, 2008 10:44:08 AM
