Unfortunately this is becoming all too common. The fact that many voters today have absolutely no idea how the government is set up let alone who is actually running it and gather all of their information straight from mainstream media is appalling. However, I wish this video would at least attempt to show the other side and how intellectually lacking many republican voters were in this past election as well. As a young voter and an Independant I think this is a perfect example of voters doing what they are told rather than doing any political homework and finding out what is really going on. If all you know is talking points from tv commercials this is what you get, the clueless and uninformed deciding the fate of a nation. The political scheme and atmosphere of the 2008 American Presidential election is turning out to be one of the most if not THE most complicated, diverse and vicious in this great nation's history. Most certainly there has not been an election in recent memory that had the nation so divided in its perception of the current and future direction of the government and its policies here at home and abroad. The Democratic nominee Barrack Obama and the Republican nominee John McCain, could not be farther apart when it comes to their plans for the future of the nation, and in fact, the world. Although for months the polls have had the Obama campaign ahead by anywhere from 2 to 10 points, McCain's campaign seems to be based more on knowledge, honesty, experience and toughness concerning the foremost election issues of physical security, economic stability and the moral reconstruction of the nation. We have been told that national security sits a top the list of issues that face the two candidates and John McCain has no trouble letting the entire nation know that he agrees whole heartily! John McCain believes in a strong military and that maintaining the most capable, best trained, supplied and best led military in the world is part of his agenda. John McCain also recognizes the rising anti-American tide here and abroad in what looks like a return to the cold war era facing Russia and China's new thirst to return to world powers. He believes we need a larger, faster navy and cutting edge high-tech forces to deal with these growing threats to the nation&security. John McCain knows the commitment of our enemies and the brutality of war from firsthand experience and understands the soldiers needs in crisis and in conflict. He sees clearly the growing and demonstrable threat of radical Islamic Ghad facing the nation and the nation's allies. John McCain will not sit unconditionally and negotiate with enemie leaders who are well known and documented to talk compliance and secretly rage war and pursue nuclear weapons technology at the same time. We must elect John McCain as our next president because his wisdom, knowledge and experience concerning national security are no comparison and in complete contrast to Barrack Obama's. For most American citizens who pay attention and truly understand the nation's security issues, John McCain clearly represents the traditional model for an American presidential candidate. His credentials as a patriarch Senator, lawmaker and maverick negotiator are a given and are only outweighed by his contributions and service as a Navy son, soldier, P.O. W., hero, public servant and Presidential advisor. As far as Barrack Obama's view on national security, he says he believes in a strong military but he also believes that the U.S. military is broken, misused and corrupt. He believes that U.S. planes target and bomb innocent civilians during their campaigns in the war against terror. With the rising threats that face the nation and its security, Barrack Obama believes that we need to veer away from our age old World War ll mentality as he calls it, of building a larger navy and more aircraft carriers. While China builds carriers and high tech jet fighters in rapid production in underground shore bunker ship yards undetectable by our satellite cameras. Likewise the Russians have signed and committed to a new initiative to triple the size of their navy and have begun the same furious production rates as the Chinese. With absolutely no military experience, knowledge or training, while the world sits near the brink of World War lll, Barrack Obama spends his time exploring the need for foreign language training and cultural awareness as priorities for our troops modernization and readiness. Barrack Obama believes that "we", America, have perpetuated the war on terror. He believes that our enemies are victims of the Bush war doctrine of zero tolerance. He believes we should pull out of the war while sitting down with rouge leaders of nations that supply arms to the Islamic armies of anarchy, the murderers of women and children and our coalition soldiers, "the sons of liberty." One might ask what Barrack Obama expects the followers of Mohammad to do once we retreat and leave them to reign. Can we count on them to just stop hating the west and planning its demise? Are we to chat and hug our way out of their brutal relentless mission of worldwide dominance and Islamic conversion? We must not elect Barrack Obama as the next president of the United States of America because of his "lack" of wisdom, knowledge and experience concerning national security. For the same American citizens who pay attention to the issues and condition of the Republic, Barrack Obama represents the most untraditional model for an American presidential candidate. His national security credentials are few. His short time in service as a U.S. Senator seriously under weighs his only experience with administrating in his public career as a community organizer in the lo-income housing projects and neighborhoods of Chicago. This could explain the absolute spectrum wide gap between the two candidates economic policies also. John McCains economic policies will prove themselves to be as effective as they are simple. First, McCain intends to maintain the maximum tax rate for Americans at a solid 35 percent, of course that rate is only for millionaires, and is ineffectual for the average American, whose tax rate would also be maintained. In addition, John McCain intends to cut the corporate tax rate from 35 to 25 percent, which is essential in providing businesses with more funds with which to maintain and potentially hire on new employees, creating much needed jobs for the American work force. With McCain at the helm, he will revalue the American dollar, thus decreasing the cost of imported gasoline and stimulating the economy. McCain also has bi-partisan experience in economic stimulation, always putting his legislation where his mouth is. John McCain crossed the partisan isle numerous times during the Clinton administration to pass legislation and make policy that lead to the economic surpluses left to President George W. Bush at the beginning of his administration. Barrack Obamas economic policies on the other hand, while sounding good on paper, really won&t work well when put into practice. Obama as stated that he would give a tax cut to the lower middle class, as he plans to target the $20,000 to $30,000 collective household family incomes. What this means is that the people who are paying the least taxes are receiving the greatest cut, while upper middle class citizens are left paying the same rate. Obama seems to have published no plans regarding corporate taxes, however his plans concerning job creation for the American work force involve the untested theory of putting government funded broadband centers across the nation. As for Obamas partisan or non-partisan behavior, he has remained staunchly on the far left of the liberal spectrum. Barrack Obama seems to have no plans to compromise with his Republican co-workers across the aisle which most Americans think has been the one common factor that has lead to the gridlock that has our nation so harshly divided politically and morally. The state of our union morally is also seen as one of the main issues in this election. On the tender issue of abortion John McCain believes in protecting the sanctity of life. He plans to overturn the flawed decision of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision essentially legalizing abortion, to give the decision back to the individual states. Once the battle is at the state level McCain plans to find new ways the government can empower and strengthen the Pro-Life movement's influence to help bring the consensus needed to end abortion at the state level. As McCain has freely stated, "At its core, abortion is a human tragedy." McCain also promotes adoption as an option for women struggling with a crisis pregnancy. He plans to make adoption easier as seen in his past bill that permitted tax deductions for adoption expenses, as well as to remove barriers to interracial and inter-ethnic adoptions. John McCain encourages adoption because he knows how rewarding it is for the child and the adopter first hand, in 1993 McCain and his wife adopted a little girl from Mother Teresa's orphanage in Bangladesh. John McCain also believes in preserving the traditional family. His conviction is that the institution of marriage is a union between one man and one woman. He supports the proposed ban on homosexual marriages in California (Proposition 8). He strongly disagrees with the California Supreme Court ruling that ignored the voice of the people of California, who already decided that marriage was between one man and one woman. As president John McCain would nominate judges who understand that the role of the court is to uphold the constitution, not to legislate from the bench in hopes to stop future rulings like the one made in California. Simply put, Obama comes down on the other side of the fence on such issues. Contrary to McCain, Obama is a very firm believer in abortion as seen in his voting record. Obama has previously voted against banning partial birth abortions, he supports the ruling of Roe v. Wade, as a matter of fact he has received a 100% rating from Pro-Choice America's Congressional record on choice based on his voting on abortion matters. Obama has stated that he will make preserving a women's right to choose under Roe v. Wade a priority as president. Obama's solution for abortion is quite simple. He believes that contraception (deliberate prevention of conception or impregnation) such as condoms and birth control will solve the problem. The problem with contraception is that it doesn't always work. Combining that with the fact that the United States currently has the highest rate of infection with sexually transmitted diseases of any industrialized country I do not see contraception as much of a solution (Prevention First Act, S.21/H.R.819). How does Obama feel about the issue of gay marriage? Well that's a hard question to have answered. At the third Illinois State Debate on October 21, 2004 Obama stated," I Believe that marriage is between a man and a women." However at the HRC/LOGO debate on gay issues on August 9, 2007 Obama showed complete disregard of his previous statement by declaring," When it comes to federal rights, the over 1,100 rights that right now are not being given to same sex couples, I think that's unacceptable, and as president of the United States, I am going to fight hard to make sure that those rights are available." However Mr. Obama points out that it would be wrong for him to impose his beliefs on homosexual couples. I tend to see it in a different perspective though. When the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriage hundreds of pastors were forced to marry gay couples against their will. If they refused lawsuits arose against them, yet those pastors and other Americans stand accused of imposing their beliefs upon the gay community. However it looks like it is the gay community that is trying to impose their beliefs on anyone with a different viewpoint than them. In response to Proposition 8 (the proposed bill that defines marriage between one man and one woman in California) Obama called the bill "divisive and discriminatory" then congratulated gay couples who had recently married in California. The fact is this, if Obama becomes president he will work hard to take the power of the state to choose in regards to gay marriage and give rights to homosexuals at a federal level. The outcome of this election will undoubtedly shock the losing side and give the winning side one hell of a job to do as we face so many threats, obstacles and a nation divided. But have no doubts or qualms about what road this country should take, John McCain is a proven, knowledgeable and tested leader. He stands and walks tall for the good of all American citizens and has been serving for many decades through good and bad times as a nation. One nation, our nation, under God and seemingly divisible at this point in history. There is clearly all contrast and no comparison between the 2008 American presidential candidates running for the office this year. So try to fight the urge to vote Obama 08'and help John McCain and the Republican party protect us, invest in us and keep God in our homes, schools, on our money and in our hearts. Enough already! Every media outlet is slanted one way or the other -- there are no exceptions. This video interviewing "obama supporters"/democrats seems very slanted to me. Where are the McCain supporters and why aren't you interviewing them as well? Why not get a legitimate sampling from both parties and in different states and areas of the country? The fact is that the majority of Americans are tired of the Republicans and what they've done to our country over the past eight years. We are at the bottom of the barrel and it is time for someone (different) to pull us out and restore our country at home and abroad. The media did not elect Barack Obama, the people of this country did and the message was loud and clear. People who support Sarah Palin need to face reality and move on with their lives. Both sides have ill-informed people supporting their respective causes. Just like the republicans that insisted Obama was a Muslim. The weather underground making him a domestic terrorist. I think most people got sick of trying to be scared to vote a certain way. Bush used that tactic to his advantage and people are just sick of "you will all die if you don't vote republican!" mentality. There is, of course, bias on both sides. The country, face it, was ready for a change. The republicans have ruled for 8 years after Clinton and this is where we are. Their record spoke for itself. You run on the record of your party and your ideals. Specifics of who controls congress is ultimately troubling but not what it is about. It's about, who was in office, what party was it and am I better off now or worse off. The semantics of government and the inner-workings become moot. People respond to the visceral needs of their lives and the issues of the street. We needed new leadership and a new approach. We will see if it works or not. But it seems that McCain and Palin dug their own holes. Racist? Unquestionably. The video's opening song invokes images of Africa and The Lion King--and that is very, very much on purpose. By trying to make the President-elect out to be some kind of Congo tribesman, the director sealed his image as a racist. By interviewing only Obama supporters, and by claiming that those interviewees were selected by the way that they "looked", the director admitted to his selective interviews. I voted Obama, and I knew the correct answers to every one of those questions. I voted Obama, and I knew every lie that he and Biden told, and every lie that McCain and Palin told. Guess what? McCain and Palin were actually trying to rewrite history throughout their campaign. Sound familiar? Sounds like typical Right-wing propaganda to me. Sorry, but the Good Guy was elected this time. Oh, and for all you WWJD fanatics: If Jesus were here among us, he'd be laughing hysterically at the tragedy of American culture today. You wanna be like Jesus? You REALLY want to say you're a "good Christian"? Then give everything that you own away, except the clothes on your back and a cheap pair of shoes on your feet. Then you can walk around and tell people how THEY should live their lives, how THEY should vote, and who THEY should believe at the 11th hour. Hypocrites. And please, everyone--EVERYONE--PLEASE stop giving attention to Sarah Palin. Media bias or not, this woman is an idiot in Wonderland. It's not that certain questions might have been asked, or even that her "answers" might have been skewed; it's that she actually tried to answer things about which she knew nothing. She actually tried to run for VP when she knew she was unqualified (a monkey would have known that), and the Media--God forbid--actually had the audacity to show the rest of us. Fox News and Right-wing radio were, for the last eight years, the only media outlets that the Bush Administration would approach for direct contact. This proves that there was corruption in the Administration, and it certainly proves bias and corruption in the Right-wing media. How blind you dead-horse Conservatives must be to miss such obvious manipulation. "Conservatives" are, without question or hesitation, the most propaganda-susceptible crowd-following sheep that I've ever witnessed or read about in all of my years. If Limbaugh said the world would end if you didn't walk next door to shoot your neighbor because he was voting a certain way, then I bet you'd actually give it some thought.
